The specific gravity at 20°C ranges from 0.915 to 0.932, with a refractive index of 1.480 to 1.485 at 20°C. The iodine value is a minimum of 175, and the saponification value ranges from 184 to 194 MGKOH/g. The acid value is a maximum of 0.5, and the moisture, impurities, and volatile matter (M.I.V) is a maximum of 0.2%. Linseed Oil is slightly soluble in ethanol (96 percent) and miscible with light petroleum.
